Yeah, she's got the two kids. They're great - the youngest quotes tiktok all the time, but just out of no where. I knocked a bowl of cereal off the counter and just heard a quiet 'oh no, no, no' from the hallway.
Are you sure though? You can't go halfies when the kids love you, you've got to go all in if you're gonna do this.
I know, you're right. I don't know if I'm ready to be a dad, but I can't imagine going one day without being with the three of them?
What part of being a dad aren't you ready for? You cook for them, you drive them places, you said the older one vomited all over the car a few days ago didn't he? You guys practically live together now, she asks your opinion on decisions - you're already doing the dad thing.
There's more to it than that, Den.
There's really not. You love them? You want the best for them? You trying to do everything you can to improve their lives? Would you risk your life for them? Can you stay in the same house when the wifi goes down?
Denver.
You're not answering the questions - does that mean the answer is no or it's so obviously yes that me asking was dumb?
Obviously the answers are all yes, it's just not that simple.
Well that's were we disagree. Anyone can technically be a parent - actually loving your kids and wanting the best for them though? Not every parent can do that.
You can do it though, you're already doing it.
What if I fuck up?
Then you fuck up. You realize what you did, you fix it, you apologize, you learn, and you do better next time. You can't be perfect, that's not a real thing.
Look at all the parents you admire - they've fucked up along the way. That's normal.
You're annoying
No, I'm right and you know it. Just talk to Bev - she'll tell you the same (and you know it).
I'm going to tonight when she gets home. Thanks Den
Text me later and tell me how right I am.
